What I have been building.
About me
I'm a computer science student at the University at Albany, graduating in December 2027. I'm currently a software engineering intern at Garmin, working on .NET services in Azure.
I've learned more from building things start to finish than from any class. Most of that goes into Terrazzo now, a native iOS comic and manga reader. It taught me Swift concurrency and most of the ways CloudKit can fail.
Garmin showed me what production demands: audit logging, and tests that have to pass before a deploy. On Terrazzo I make every call myself and then live with it.

Software Engineer Intern

- Built an SMS-pumping fraud-prevention allowlist end to end: a Blazor management UI backed by Cosmos DB, with E.164 phone-number normalization, cross-partition queries, and full audit logging for compliance.
- Shipped it to production, opening up Garmin's products in countries where blanket SMS restrictions had been blocking legitimate partners from reaching users.
- Cut database compute costs 40% by caching a hot path that had been re-running the same lookups.
- Added automated testing to the CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions, catching regressions before deployment.
- Set up application monitoring in Azure Application Insights, including custom telemetry dashboards and tracing for cross-partition Cosmos DB queries.
